Teleheath Therapists
Sarah Sweeney, MA, LPC
Professional Counselor Associate
I am an LPC – Associate working towards licensure. I have experience working with teens, adults, couples, and families addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief. I believe in a holistic view of counseling: All aspects of a person’s wellbeing – physical, emotional, spiritual and social – are important. In my free time I enjoy being out in nature, hiking, and traveling with loved ones and my pup Suki.
Sarah's Approach
I believe that everyone has an inner strength with the ability to change and to decide who they want to be. I take an eclectic approach, focusing more on the root of issues and incorporating art, mindfulness and emotional regulation into sessions. I believe in holding hope for and in people, as well as in creating a space where they can feel heard, seen and valued. My approach is collaborative with whomever I work with and I use the following models: Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and attachment theory.
