Rebekah Brooks, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Welcome! I am Rebekah Brooks, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Oregon. I was born and raised in the Eugene area and I have lived in Oregon most of my life. Being an avid nature lover, it is the perfect place for me. In my free time, I can often be found doing photography, hiking, gardening, skiing, traveling, camping, paddle boarding or chasing waterfalls. I am a big animal lover! I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I am a Christian and find this to be an important part of my life and worldview. I welcome bringing all faiths and beliefs into the therapy space if my clients desire.

Rebekah's Approach

I am so thrilled that you are taking this step to value your healing and growing potential.
I enjoy working with adult individuals in any phase of life. I am very aware that you are the expert in your own life and I do not have all the answers for you. I look forward to us both learning from each other. I believe that the most successful therapy experiences involve a trusting and safe relationship between the client and therapist. I strive to provide a safe, caring, non-judgmental space with unconditional positive regard where my clients can feel free and welcome to be their authentic self.

I take a client centered and holistic approach to therapy. I work from a trauma-informed and strengths-based lens.

My clinical work draws upon elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Self-Compassion Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy,
Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy. Areas of specialty include
complex trauma/PTSD, adjustment/life change, self-esteem, attachment, anxiety,
and chronic Illness.

I am passionate about helping individuals overcome self-defeating thoughts and beliefs that are holding them back from meeting their goals, working through value and ethical dilemmas, and building healthy relationships in their lives. I truly believe in the inherent good of every person and look forward to helping others reclaim their belief in themselves while they move forward in living their best life. I assist my clients in building a toolbox of resources to handle stress and manage triggers, understand themselves and their behaviors in a deeper way, have compassion for oneself and process traumas and attachment wounds that have negatively influenced one’s worldview or way of interacting with their life.

More About Rebekah Brooks

Experience

Before I went to graduate school, I worked in non-profit administration for a number of years where I held several different roles. These administrative roles prepared me well to be a clinician who has an eye for detail and efficiency and who understands the challenges that clients can feel navigating their care in some systems. I have a passion for case management and try to assist my clients in connecting to needed resources and overcoming systemic barriers when appropriate.
As a clinician, I have several years experience working in integrated behavioral healthcare and outpatient mental health.

Another passion of mine is the work I have done working with survivors of sex trafficking and anti-trafficking organizations.
