Henrietta Knox, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor, CEO, Clinical Director
My name is Henrietta Knox, I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Oregon. I am originally Dutch and I have lived in the Eugene area since 2009.
I welcome people from all walks of life who are looking for help. I am a Christian. My Christianity has shaped my view of life, the world, and people. You can trust that I absolutely respect your personal beliefs and lifestyle, whether they are similar to mine, or completely different.
My approach to counseling is based on the belief that people are resilient and can become more in balance with themselves and in their relationships by understanding themselves, their strengths, needs, and hurts. As a result of this understanding, one can make responsible choices about functioning in a healthier and satisfying way both personally and in relationships with others and live productive lives, and chose a path for healing from past pain or patterns. Counseling and psychotherapy can contribute to this understanding and healing.
I pull from a variety of theories and models to fit your needs. It is my first goal to create a safe therapeutic relationship, in which you feel respected and supported. I utilize an integrative approach working within a framework utilize an integrated approach of Somatic therapy (including Polyvagal informed therapy and EFT/Tapping), Directed Mindfulness, EMDR therapy and Parts work (IFS informed therapy), and CBT with Psychodynamic elements.
I would be happy to explain my way of working to you in person.
