Ash's Approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in trauma-informed care and shaped by an ongoing commitment to anti-oppressive practice. I draw from a variety of modalities and frameworks, including Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Systems Theory, Feminist Theory, and Queer Theory.
I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your story, connect with different parts of yourself, and deepen your understanding of who you are and what you need to thrive. I’m especially passionate about working with individuals in the LGBTQIA2S+ community and those navigating questions of identity, belonging, and self-acceptance. I warmly welcome people from all backgrounds who are open to vulnerability, reflection, and growth.
More About Ash Soeller
Experience
During my graduate studies, I worked directly with adolescents in a residential mental health setting, gaining valuable experience in supporting youth through intensive therapeutic care. I also assisted in the coordination of emergency services and severe weather shelters across Multnomah County, enhancing access to critical resources during times of crisis.
Since earning my master’s degree, I have gained experience as an outpatient mental health therapist in a community mental health clinic, supporting adults age 18-65+ in building coping skills, fostering personal growth, and achieving greater emotional well-being in a compassionate, non-judgmental space.
Education
I received my Bachelors in Humanities from Western Oregon University in 2014, then completed my Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Portland State University in 2024.
