Job description

We are looking for a Receptionist/Scheduler/Assistant biller for our Eugene location. The Receptionist/Scheduler/Medical Biller will work under the direction of the Business Manager and billing supervisor. This position will have some training (1 to 2 weeks) at our Albany location and some training at our Eugene location. Hours: 8AM-5PM or 9AM-6PM.

We are looking for a person who enjoys working with people, can work independently, and take initiative, is an excellent communicator, and is willing to be accountable. Furthermore, a person who is detail-oriented, can multitask, works systematically, is experienced with Google Drive, Microsoft Office, verifying insurance benefits, and has verifiable Medical Billing experience.

Receptionist

Onboarding New Clients

Scheduling for therapists

Medical billing

Applicants must have some experience in all these above-mentioned areas.


Receptionist Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answers the phone at the Arise office and answers questions or directs phone calls and messages
  • Greets clients upon arrival and answers client questions regarding scheduling, therapist availability, office procedures, HIPAA compliance
  • Schedules and coordinate patient appointments to optimize client satisfaction and facility efficiency
  • Collect payments from clients
  • Communicate with therapists regarding scheduling and new clients, cancellations, and schedule changes
  • Creates and updates patients' electronic health records
  • Records and updates demographic and financial information
  • Verifies patient insurance benefits
  • Maintain total confidentiality of personal and financial data
  • Word processing, filing, Information research, Shredding, Faxing, Keeping reception HIPAA compliant and completing any and all clerical functions
  • Keeps track of intake metrics (tracking incoming calls, scheduled sessions, referral sources)
  • Attend ongoing training and courses to keep up to date on new developments in health care, health insurance, and medical billing
  • Comply with organizational guidelines and health care laws and regulations.
  • New Client Coordinator Essential Responsibilities
  • Provides Therapist initial scheduling
  • Manages intake calls: answer phone and email, add new/potential clients communication to the tracking sheet, answer potential client questions.
  • Gathers information from potential clients regarding therapist preference, counseling needs, demographics, insurance information
  • Answers Client insurance questions pertaining to their coverage and fees
  • Checks insurance benefits
  • Adds clients to Simple Practice (EHR) send out Portal invites and consent forms to new clients
  • Schedules intake appointments with appropriate therapists
  • Ensures client consent forms are signed and filed, and communicates with clients about consent requirements and procedures

Medical Biller Essential Responsibilities

  • Submits claims
  • Fixes denied or rejected claims, using Insurance portals or by calling, to get claims reprocessed and paid
  • Reconciles claims as payments come in
  • Reviews claim aging


Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Depending on experience.
