Nichole Schumacher

Marriage and Family Therapist Associate

My name is Nichole Schumacher. I hold a Bachelor in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Simpson University. I am originally from Eugene and have recently moved back after living in Wyoming for many years. One of my greatest pleasures in life is being married to my amazing husband for 26 years. I have been blessed with three adult children and one son-in-law. I am a Christian, and my faith is the foundation of my life. In addition to working at Arise, my husband and I are youth pastors at our church. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, camping, kayaking, reading, taking walks on the beach, and hanging out with our youth teens. I have worked with clients from a variety of backgrounds and faiths. So, you can trust I respect your beliefs, lifestyle, and practices. Genuine, unconditional love and acceptance of others is my core value.

Nichole’s Approach

My approach to counseling is based on the belief that resiliency is human nature. Freedom, wholeness, and hope are possibilities for everyone. With the right support, clients can pull on their resilient strengths to make responsible choices to function in a healthier life-sustaining way. Counseling and psychotherapy can assist in the understanding and healing process. It is a privilege to help restore to individuals what the events of life, relationships, or our own choices have stolen from us. Every individual has different needs. Therefore, I employ a variety of modalities to fit your needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Humanistic, and Attachment-Based Approach. I create a welcoming, respectful, and compassionate environment. I take a non-judgmental, client-led approach to create a safe, therapeutic relationship where you feel respected, heard, and supported. I look forward to coming alongside you on your journey to freedom and wholeness.
