Katie McAlister, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

My name is Katie McAlister and I am a a Licensed Professional Counselor. I grew up here in Oregon and then moved around to various places across the globe for school and while in the military. In my work, I have a special interest in understanding the relationship between physical, spiritual, and mental health and how they can be incorporated to create a whole picture of health. I spend my free time with my son, relaxing with my family, and traveling.

Katie's Approach

Our world is constantly telling you you’re wrong for one thing or another and we are constantly consuming the message that we need to change X or Y about ourselves, leaving us anxious, depressed, hating ourselves or unhappy in our relationships. Together we can explore what might be contributing to how you’re feeling and I can provide the practical tools for every day use that you need to work with your emotions, anxiety, shame, and relationship struggles to help you not only find acceptance of yourself but learn to be proud of yourself and who you are. This can translate to family dynamics, individual anxiety and depression, trauma recovery, and relationship satisfaction. I work with adult individuals and couples as they work to find peace within themselves and within their relationships.
