Approach

I use a person-centered approach to meet clients where they are at and really get to know them. This person-centered basis for counseling and psychotherapy offers a warm curiosity and collaborative approach that allows clients to feel heard. In my approach to counseling I emphasize strengths, self-compassion, mindfulness, and self-care practices for an enhanced understanding, increased capacity, and elevated experience. I use a range of treatment approaches, evidenced-based practices, and psycho-education to aid clients in their therapeutic process.

Therapeutic Focus

I tailor modalities to meet each client’s individual needs. I use Psychodynamic psychotherapy to gain a better understanding of the client’s experience, relational dynamics, and promote self-awareness. Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy aids in the process of undoing aloneness through experiential processing of emotions. I use psycho-education, mindfulness-based techniques including grounding and breathing techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and self-compassion to improve healthy coping skills and quality of self-care strategies.

I have experience with a variety of clients experiencing various life circumstance. I have experience providing therapy since 2019 in a free clinic and a University setting, and in 2020, through private practice.
