Albany Therapists

Jeannette Rowell, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Supervisor

I believe that you are unique, and your therapy needs are too. I value that uniqueness by listening deeply to your story and validating your life experience in a way that honors you and your story. I, as your therapist, will stay curious and open to allowing the process of therapy to unfold naturally and at your own pace. I provide a place to be safe, heard, and understood. It’s my goal to bring clarity to those seeking to understand who they are, what makes sense for them, and to be freer of the expectations of others. You are a wonderfully complex and amazing individual and deserve to find your true potential in every way. A typical client for me is someone who desires healing from difficult childhood experiences, trauma, loss, and challenging life transitions.

Jeannette’s Approach

My approach to therapy is person-centered and strengths-based. I believe that all individuals have an innate sense of resilience and will strive for self-actualization and renewal if provided a safe, supportive environment to accomplish that vital work. I work from an insight perspective, helping individuals understand themselves to accept themselves and their choices better.
