Elizabeth Lira, LMFT

Eugene therapist

My name is Elizabeth Lira. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Oregon, license #T1710 and in California, license #102577. Formerly from California, I have now lived in Eugene for the last year. While I have always enjoyed spending time outdoors it has been in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest that I have truly found my home. My favorite places are either floating on one of the rivers, hiking in the beautiful forest, or spending time on the Oregon coast. Hobbies include, hiking, kayaking, playing guitar, and jewelry making. I have been blessed to work with people from all walks of life, from age 14 to 101 and am always honored to be a part of and a witness to their journey.

Therapeutic Focus

I offer an approach that is grounded in one’s innate ability to heal. Utilizing an integrated approach that may include some combination of psychodynamic, talk therapy, Somatic and Attachment Focused (SAFE) EMDR, CBT, and/or person-centered. If you’ve had therapy in the past I will work with you to understand what did and didn’t work for you and determine the best approach forward utilizing years of clinical experience with a variety of clients.

I have worked as a mental health professional since 2014 in a variety of settings. I have worked with youth at a residential treatment center, adults with mild cognitive impairment or dementia along with their families, and adults and teens that have experienced trauma.
