Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Clinical Director Arise Eugene, Clinical
Supervisor, Education Coordinator

My name is Christina Martínez-Clay, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Oregon. I am originally from the MidWest and have lived in the Eugene area since 2015.

Meet Ripley

Hi. My name is Ripley and I am a registered medical support dog and therapy dog. My mission as a therapy dog is to spread smiles, provide affection and support, inspire others and comfort humans. I enjoy pets, snuggles and bringing a smile to others.

I have also earned my AKC Canine Good Citizen Level 3 certificate and am working toward my Level 1 Agility certificate. My mom says it is important to be healthy in mind, body and spirit – I agree and enjoy helping humans who visit us find their balance. Please feel free to say hi or give me a pat during your visit.

Christina’s Approach

I am an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist with an Attachment and Somatic focus, as well as a trained Play Therapist and Sensorimotor Student.

My theoretical orientation is consistent with my approach to treatment as EMDR and play therapy are more “experiential” processes rather than traditional “talk” therapies and research has shown to lead to lasting results. I believe therapy is most beneficial and successful when there is a positive working relationship based on collaboration and alignment toward a common goal.
