Approach

My therapeutic orientation is derived primarily from two basic approaches. One is humanistic psychology, particularly client-centered therapy, and the other is systemic therapy. I also employ existential therapy for the importance of understanding an accepting the human limitations and realities. The therapeutic methods I will use are tailored for a solution focused and client centered experience that will lead to a client’s strengthened positive feelings and personal empowerment.

Therapeutic Focus

My approach for the therapeutic process is eclectic. I draw from a variety of theories, models, and skills to provide you with the best approach for your particular issues, concerns, and growth. The tools I use are evidenced based practices and are derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Humanistic modalities. I am also use Internal Family Systems , and I am trained in Hypnotherapy. These are very helpful tools for trauma and for relaxation. We will sit down and figure out which approach will work best for you.

Experience

My professional background includes military service, teaching undergraduate psychology, crisis counseling, and mental health counseling.
