ACT: Attachment Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) aims to help clients incorporate mindfulness-based techniques and exercises into their lives inside and out of the therapeutic space. ACT is a cognitive-behaviorally-based theory, and aims to increase psychological flexibility and help you as a client learn how to make meaningful contact with your emotions. ACT helps teach how to accept those aspects of life that cannot be controlled, and how to commit to enacting positive change that aligns with your values.
